Jamaica, NY (February 22, 2020) – Around 12:30 a.m. today, a fatal apartment fire took the life of one victim on 159th Street in Jamaica.
The incident took place at 100 159th Street when a fire broke out in a 3-story NYCHA building.
Within a half an hour, police and firefighters had the scene completely cleared. However, a 35-year-old woman did not survive the accident.
No other injuries were reported but the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
