Manhattan, NY – 5-Year-Old Killed in Fall From Hell’s Kitchen Building

Manhattan, NY (January 10, 2021) – A woman and a little girl died on Sunday, January 10th when they fell from a building in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen.

According to police statements, at about 1:45 p.m., officers reported to the accident site on 53rd Street in the area of 11th Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 39-year-old female and a young girl, believed to be around 4 or 5-years-old, lying on the sidewalk unconscious.

Both parties were transported to a local trauma center with critical injuries and pronounced dead a short while later.

Police are actively investigating the conditions that led up to the fatal fall. 

Officials have not revealed the identity of either victim or the nature of the relationship between the woman and child.
