Manhattan, NY (February 25, 2020) – At approximately 3:07 p.m., on February 24, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Astor Place. Reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck by a train at the Astor Place Station located on Astor Place and Lafayette Street.

The victim was pinned under the train and suffered fatal injuries.

Emergency crews responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
