Manhattan, NY (January 12, 2021) – An incident in East Harlem left several people injured on Saturday morning. At around 10:20 a.m., on January 9, the New York Fire Department responded to the scene of an incident on East 110th Street.

Reports from authorities show that a carbon monoxide leak occurred in an apartment located on the fifth floor of 245 East 110th Street. Firefighters responded to the incident and confirmed the elevated levels of carbon monoxide.

Several people were injured in the incident. A total of five people received treatment at the scene for injuries while a sixth victim was evaluated for injuries. Three injured parties were transported to area hospitals. Two of the victims sustained minor injuries while the third was transported for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
