Patchogue, NY – Serious Motorcycle Accident at N Ocean Ave Intersection

Patchogue, NY (September 13, 2020) – Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m., September 12, a serious motorcycle accident happened in Patchogue.

Suffolk Police confirmed that the accident took place when a 24-year-old man identified as Edisson Chocho-Uzho was driving an Acura headed southbound on North Ocean Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto Shaber Road. His vehicle collided with a Kawasaki motorcycle headed northbound.

The driver of the motorcycle, who has not yet been formally identified by police, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Chocho-Uzho and his 23-year-old passenger were taken to another hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Chocho-Uzho received a summons for driving without a license. The motorcycle and vehicle were both impounded.

No further details have been provided but the investigation continues.
