Philmont, NY (May 14, 2020) – On Wednesday evening, May 13th, firefighters in the village of Philmont were dispatched to the scene of a fatal fire on Main Street. It occurred inside of a residential building at approximately 7:10 p.m., according to authorities.
Officials stated that crews arrived at the scene where at least two residents made it out of the building safely. One other resident, identified as 56-year-old Jacquline Strobino was later found deceased inside the residence.
Investigators were able to determine that the fire was accidental in nature but have not established the exact cause. The investigation is ongoing.
