Queens, NY (October 31, 2020) – A woman and a young girl were killed on Friday, October 30th when they were both struck by a car that jumped a curb in Jamaica, Queens.

Reports indicate that the accident took place at Jamacia Avenue and 164th Street at about 5:30 p.m. when a black Range Rover being driven by a 47-year-old woman heading southbound along 164th Street, near Jamaica Avenue, lost control of her vehicle and jumped the curb.

Eight-year-old Jashanty Cole and 65-year-old Yuniang Cong, both residents of Queens, were hit by the Range Rover. Both victims were transported to a nearby trauma center and pronounced dead a short while later.

The driver stayed at the crash site until law enforcement arrived. The police have not made any arrests and believe the crash was accidental.
