Rochester, NY – One Injured in House Fire on W Main St

Rochester, NY (November 22, 2020) – Around 10:37 p.m. on Saturday night, November 21, one person was injured in a Rochester house fire.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, the fire started in a home at 635 West Main Street in Rochester. While fire crews were headed to the scene, they discovered that multiple people were trapped inside the home. The fire had already spread to the first and second floors of the home.

One woman, who has not yet been identified, was trapped on the second floor due to the extent of the fire. Fire crews were able to remove her with the help of a ladder. She was then taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her condition is not yet known.

A total of eight people were displaced by the fire. Police and fire crews have not yet been able to determine the circumstances that led up to the fire.

The investigation continues at this time.
