Seaford, NY (June 30, 2020) – A serious collision left a Nassau County police officer hospitalized on Sunday morning, June 28th. The crash happened just after midnight along Sunrise Highway in the town of Seaford.
According to authorities, an officer was responding to a call when his vehicle collided with another car in the vicinity of Washington Avenue. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the wounded officer to a nearby hospital.
At this time, the victim’s injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening. No one else was injured and investigators are working to determine the events that led to the incident.
No further information has been reported.
