Trucking Accidents in New York
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), deadly accidents involving large commercial vehicles surged to peak levels during 2017. Trucking accidents in New York, like anywhere else around the United States, are persistently severe due to the immense size and power of such tremendous vehicles, as well as the behavior of other drivers. During the time after a crash, it is critical for victims and their loved ones to fully realize that they may have significant rights to pursue.
In many cases, trucking accidents, particularly those that end with the vehicle overturning, are caused by the improper weight distribution of cargo or faulty mechanics. Furthermore, drivers are often made by their employers to cover as many miles as possible throughout any given day, which commonly leads to driver fatigue. Whether a truck crash is caused by the actions of an employer, vehicle manufacturer, or another inattentive party, there is no reason why victims should be held liable for their suffering at the hands of another party.
