Fatal Snowmobile Accidents in West Monroe

West Monroe, NY - Antonio Curtis Killed in Snowmobile Accident Near Depot Rd

Just over 180 snowmobile crashes in New York were reported during the 2016-2017 winter season. These crashes involved 225 drivers and caused injuries to 127 victims and the deaths of 24 more. Dangerous speeds have consistently been the number one cause of these accidents. Officials have stated that, where OHVs are concerned, speeding does not necessarily mean exceeding the posted speed limit but is often simply a case of driving too fast for prevailing road or trail conditions, combined with inexperienced drivers.
