Woodside, NY – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with SUV at 31st Ave & 61st St

Woodside, NY (October 9, 2020) – One man was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV that took place in the Woodside neighborhood of Queens. The fatal crash was reported late on Tuesday night, October 6th at the intersection of 31st Avenue and 61st Street.

According to authorities, a 38-year-old man was operating a 2009 Honda CBR600 motorcycle east when he entered the intersection at around 11:00 p.m. The driver of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder then made a left turn in front of the rider, triggering the collision.

Police officials and EMTs arrived at the scene a short time later and found the motorcyclist unresponsive in the roadway. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. There has been no word on any charges as the incident remains under investigation.
