Newburgh, NY (April 27, 2020) – A multi-family apartment building caught fire on Saturday afternoon, April 25th, in the city of Newburgh. According to first responders, the two-alarm fire took place at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene where they battled the blaze on the top floor of the three-story structure. Crews worked to extinguish the blaze as paramedics assisted one resident with a back injury and one firefighter with burns. All injuries were reported as non-life threatening.
Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical but the incident remains under investigation.
