Newport News, VA (September 17, 2025) – A traffic accident with injuries was reported early Wednesday morning on Interstate 64 eastbound near Exit 258, causing delays for early commuters and prompting an emergency response from Newport News Fire units.
The crash was first reported around 4:25 a.m., during the early morning rush. According to dispatch audio, Tower 6 was dispatched on a priority response to the eastbound lanes just past the exit.
