Norridgewock, ME (September 12, 2023) – A serious car accident happened on Walker Road late Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Jeremy Maynard, 33, a Norridgewock resident, was a passenger in a 2004 Toyota Celica.
Around 11:45 p.m., driver William Allen, 46, of Norridgewock, lost control on a bend.
The car left the road and hit trees.
Maynard, trapped inside, was freed by Norridgewock Fire Department rescue workers.
Emergency workers rushed him to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan.
He later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland for surgery.
Allen belted during the crash and remained unharmed.
Excessive speed contributed to the accident, stated Chief Deputy Michael Mitchell.
The investigation is still ongoing.
