North Columbus, OH (September 13, 2023) – A collision involving multiple vehicles disrupted traffic on Interstate 71 southbound near the Weber Road exit on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Columbus police revealed that equipment falling from a truck triggered the crash around 11:45 a.m.

The Columbus Division of Fire reported that one individual suffered injuries and received treatment at a local hospital.

Authorities closed I-71 southbound lanes for several hours for cleanup.

Both westbound and eastbound ramps from Interstate 270 to I-71 southbound were shut as well.

The investigation is still ongoing.
