Pedestrian-Involved Accidents in Jamestown

Jamestown, ND - Car Vs Pedestrian on 1st Ave North

Walking along the side of the road or trying to cross a busy street leaves people extremely vulnerable. Sadly, the dangers associated with being a pedestrian have escalated over the years as the ability of today’s drivers to focus on the task at hand seems to be steadily decreasing. Pedestrian fatalities were just under 17% in 2017, signifying a total of 6,000 deaths for the year. In other words, one pedestrian was killed about every hour and a half.

Pedestrian accidents in North Dakota, and throughout the United States, tend to occur more frequently in areas that lack basic safety features, such as crosswalks, sidewalks, and pedestrian crossing signals, prompting higher death and injury rates.

Being seriously injured in a pedestrian accident of any kind is not only painful and scary but can also be overwhelmingly difficult in many ways. Our team at Local Accident Reports understands this. We have worked hard to compile some of the most useful, helpful, and invaluable resources we could find to aid injured pedestrian accident victims in their recovery.  We did this in an effort to help the victims of pedestrian, car, motorcycle, truck, workplace, and bike accidents get the help that they need to recover and get back to the preferred way of life before their accident.
