Palermo, ND (August 15, 2020) – Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of a collision that took place on a highway in Palermo this past Wednesday afternoon. It was reported that one person sustained injuries in the wreck.
According to police, a two-vehicle collision took place on Highway Two in the area of mile marker 101 at approximately 2:36 p.m. on the afternoon of August 12.
A 21-year-old named Paul Royer was headed west on Highway Two in his Isuzu when for unknown reasons, he was involved in a collision with a Ford Expedition. According to the accident report, the Expedition was attempting to make a turn from the passing lane. The Isuzu came to rest in a ditch on the side of the road.
Royer was transported to Trinity Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of injuries he suffered in the crash. His condition was deemed serious in nature, though no other description was given pertaining to the severity and scope of his sustained injuries.
The reason the collision took place remains under local law enforcement investigation at this time.
