Sentinel Butte, ND (August 15, 2020) – One person has lost their life after involvement in a serious traffic accident involving a semi-truck that took place this past Tuesday in Sentinel Butte.
On August 11, at approximately 5:35 p.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on Wannagan Creek Road that took the life of one Juan Arturo Lozano Salazar, 52, of McAllen, Texas. He was driving a semi-truck with a tanker-trailer when for unknown reasons, the vehicle overturned off the side of the road in the vicinity of Knutson Creek Road.
Shortly after the accident took place, emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene and found that Salazar had died instantly.
Michal Lynn Nichols, 57, of West Jordan, was the sole passenger present in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He sustained injuries and was transported by medical professionals to St. Alexius Hospital. His current health condition remains undisclosed at this time, but the nature of his injuries was deemed non-life-threatening.
The reason the crash occurred currently remains under local law enforcement investigation at the present time.
