North Hills, NY (March 18, 2023) – Two left lanes of traffic were blocked on a roadway in North Hills on March 18 due to an injury car crash.
The crash occurred at around 10:20 a.m., reports said.
An unspecified number of vehicles were involved in the accident that happened on the Long Island Expressway near Shelter Rock Road. Paramedics and police were called to the accident scene shortly after it occurred in order to render aid and determine the cause of the incident.
Injured victims received assistance from paramedics at the scene. At least one person was transported to the hospital due to the extent of their injuries.
Traffic in the area was backed up to New Hyde Park Road while crews worked to secure the scene.
Authorities in the North Hills continue to investigate the details of the accident.
