Norwood, MO (March 12, 2025) – A serious motorcycle crash in Wright County left one person injured late Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Highway E, about three miles north of Norwood.
According to reports from authorities, a 1999 Dodge pickup was traveling northbound when the driver attempted a left-hand turn, crossing into the path of a southbound 2001 Honda GL1800 motorcycle. The vehicles collided head-on, resulting in extensive damage to the motorcycle.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, and the 32-year-old pickup driver from Norwood, MO, sustained moderate injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The 68-year-old motorcyclist from Mountain Grove, MO, was not reported as injured at the scene, though his motorcycle sustained heavy damage and was towed by Ed’s Towing at the officer’s request.
Authorities, including Troopers J.L. Sentman and N.B. Poynter, assisted with the crash investigation, which remains ongoing.
