Olney, MD (March 12, 2023) – At 5:29 p.m. on March 11, the police and firefighters in Montgomery county were notified that they were needed at the scene of an automobile accident in Olney.
Preliminary reports show that two vehicles collided on Georgia Avenue in the area of Emory Lane. The incident blocked multiple lanes at the intersection, prompting the police and firefighters to close off the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
