Accidents on regional highways such as Hwy 24 can occur with little warning. Factors like distracted driving, fatigue, and inclement weather may all play a role in sudden collisions, especially during late-night hours when driver alertness can wane.
Each year, thousands of Californians are injured in crashes on state highways. In Contra Costa County alone, hundreds of accidents result in emergency room visits or extended hospital stays. For the victims, recovery is often not just physical—it involves navigating insurance claims, transportation issues, and emotional distress.
