Osceola County, FL (August 4, 2025) – A 52-year-old man from Lake Wales lost his life on Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash on the World Drive ramp from U.S. Highway 192, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The deadly incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m., when the driver’s Audi A3 veered off the roadway and collided with a concrete support column.
Troopers reported that the vehicle was traveling northbound on the ramp when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The car left the paved surface and struck the column supporting an overpass. Emergency personnel responded to the scene shortly after the crash, but the driver was pronounced dead on site due to the severity of the impact.
