Ozark, MO (November 19, 2023) – A severe accident occurred on US 160, one mile west of Gainesville, on Friday, November 17, at 9:00 PM, involving a single vehicle.
Levi C. Hambelton, a 41-year-old male from Protem, MO, was driving a 2005 Jeep Laredo westbound when he veered off the road, struck a concrete curb, and the vehicle overturned. Hambelton, who was not using a safety device, sustained serious injuries.
He was airlifted by Air Evac to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, for emergency treatment. The Jeep incurred total damage and was recovered by Ron’s Recovery of Gainesville.
MSGT C. A. Hogue of Troop G is investigating the crash. The exact cause of the accident is under review, with further details pending as the investigation continues.
