Paris, MO (July 10, 2023) – A tragic crash on St. Charles Road in Paris on Saturday afternoon, July 8, 2023, resulted in the death of a Paris man.
48-year-old Cory Peterson, operating a motorcycle, was traveling south on St. Charles Road while the second vehicle’s driver was heading north.
During a corner turn, Peterson entered northbound traffic and collided with the second vehicle.
Although Peterson wore a helmet, he suffered severe injuries that endangered his life at the scene.
EMS transported him to a local hospital, where he tragically passed away.
The second vehicle’s driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, remained uninjured.
The Columbia Police are conducting an ongoing investigation; further details may be available later.
