Park Hills, MO – Car Crash on I-55 at US-67; Woman Seriously Injured

Park Hills, MO (July 20, 2023)- On Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2023, a severe car crash occurred on I-55 at US-67 in Jefferson County.

Rachel Smith, 22, from Park Hills, was driving northbound in a 2005 Chevy Silverado when she veered over the striped line and collided with the right side of a 2021 Kenworth T-680.

Subsequently, Smith’s vehicle spun and struck a guardrail. Due to her severe injuries, she was rushed to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

The accident took place around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report.
