Passaic, NJ (October 24, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night when a man was struck by an SUV while attempting to cross Route 21 northbound in Passaic. The accident took place around 8 p.m., prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to the Passaic Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and called 911 to report the accident. Emergency responders arrived promptly, and the pedestrian was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for medical care. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries at 8:50 p.m.
