Peoria County, IL – Fatal Head-On Collision on US Route 150 in Kickapoo Township

Peoria County, IL (November 19, 2023) – A deadly head-on crash claimed the lives of both drivers on Friday, November 17, in Kickapoo Township, Peoria County. The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident in the 9000 block of U.S. Route 150 around 6:35 p.m.

A 76-year-old woman from Edelstein, driving westbound, collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by a 67-year-old man from Macomb while trying to pass another vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. No other occupants were in the vehicles. The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. The identities of the deceased will be released later by the Peoria County Coroner’s Office.
