Philadelphia, PA – Fatal Collision of Two SEPTA Buses in Rhawnhurst Neighborhood Leaves Injuries

Philadelphia, PA (July 22, 2023) – Two SEPTA buses collided in the Rhawnhurst neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia, killing a 72-year-old passenger named Siu Nam Mak and injuring more than a dozen others.

The incident happened on Roosevelt Boulevard close to Shelmire Avenue afternoon of July 21, 2023.

In the severe crash, fourteen people were hurt, including two in critical condition.

According to eyewitnesses, passengers were in a state of panic, and several people were injured.

The condition of one of the bus drivers is serious.

As of yet, investigators have not determined what led to the collision.

Those involved and the surrounding community suffered significant trauma and loss due to the accident.
