A third vehicle, driven by Jacqueline Bowman, 43, a resident of Johnsonville, was behind Del Toro in a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup and, unable to stop in time, crashed into the Ryder truck.

Head-On Collisions in Pittstown

5.29 Pittstown, NY - Dylan DelToro Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision on SR-7

A head-on collision, colloquially known as a wrong-way collision, is a term that refers to the collision between the fronts of two vehicles traveling in opposite directions. This kind of car accident has the highest probability of leaving its victims facing critical or even fatal injuries. The amount of force that is usually exerted during this type of crash is extreme and the reason that head-on collisions accounted for almost 30% of all fatal traffic accidents in New York in 2017.

After losing a loved one in a careless, reckless, or otherwise negligent New York car accident by no fault of the victim, it may feel like no amount of compensation could make you feel complete again. While it is true that no financial restitution can ever fully make up for your losses, filing a wrongful death claim against the responsible party or parties can go a long way toward helping you find some semblance of peace again.
