Plant City, FL (July 7, 2023) – On Thursday morning, July 6, 2023, a 52-year-old Celebration man lost his life in a five-vehicle crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported the incident on I-4 near Plant City.
A 22-year-old Kissimmee man driving a van in the inside lane failed to slow down, according to FHP.
Thus, the van collided with an SUV’s back, starting a chain reaction. Unfortunately, the SUV driver passed away.
Kissimmee’s 47-year-old passenger was injured. The 22-year-old van driver, as did the driver in the vehicle ahead of the SUV, also suffered minor injuries.
The other two drivers survived with no injuries.
FHP’s report confirmed that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts.
