Rear-End Collisions and Highway Safety in Utah
Rear-end collisions involving passenger vehicles and semi-trucks are often catastrophic due to the size and weight disparity between the two. High-speed travel on interstates like I-15 increases the risk of severe injuries or fatalities when sudden stops or unexpected slowdowns occur.
Drivers should maintain safe following distances, remain alert, and avoid distractions to reduce the likelihood of rear-end crashes. Defensive driving and proper vehicle maintenance, such as checking brakes and tires, can also help prevent accidents in high-speed areas.
If you or a loved one has been affected by a highway collision, seeking immediate medical attention is essential—even if injuries are not immediately apparent. Additionally, gathering evidence such as accident reports, witness statements, and photos of the scene can be crucial when dealing with insurance claims or legal matters.
