Polk County, MO (December 25, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Tuesday night on MO 64, approximately seven miles south of Pittsburg, leaving two drivers with moderate injuries. The crash was reported at around 9:40 PM and involved a 2025 Ford F350 and a 2014 Ford Edge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the Ford F350, a 27-year-old woman from Bolivar, MO, failed to yield and pulled into the path of the Ford Edge, driven by a 61-year-old woman from Pittsburg, MO. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by B and B Wrecker of Bolivar.
The driver of the Ford F350, who was not wearing a safety device, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the Ford Edge, who was wearing a safety device, also suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.
Troopers A. Rideout and J.W. White assisted CPL. J.R. Rorie with the investigation. The crash remains under investigation.
