Pomfret, MD (April 3, 2023) – A MEDEVAC helicopter was requested at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred in Pomfret on Saturday morning, April 1.

Pomfret, MD – MEDEVAC Responds to Serious Crash Reported on Marshalls Corner RdAt around 8:50 a.m., authorities were notified that a crash involving two vehicles occurred on Marshalls Corner Road.

Authorities arrived at the scene and located the two damaged vehicles. One of the vehicles went off the road and struck a tree.

A 60-year-old male was located in the vehicle with severe injuries. Authorities stated that the man did not appear to be breathing, and they were unable to take his vitals. The man was airlifted by MEDEVAC to Capital Region Medical Center for emergency care.

A second victim was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
