Poplar Bluff, MO – Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Mo. Route 142, Woman Seriously Injured

Poplar Bluff, MO (July 18, 2023) – A woman from Naylor, Missouri, was hit by a car crossing Mo. Route 142 3 miles south of Poplar Bluff.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, around 10 a.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that 35-year-old Samantha Jones crossed Mo. 142 and unexpectedly entered the path of a southbound 2008 Dodge Avenger.

The vehicle, driven by 52-year-old Richard Towns from Poplar Bluff, struck Jones.

Towns suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Due to her severe injuries, an ambulance took Jones to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

The authorities are currently conducting investigations into the incident.
