Port Arthur, TX – Two-Vehicle Crash at Texas 73 and West Port Arthur Results in Fatalities

Port Arthur, TX ( July 15, 2023) – Yasmin Coca, 29, and Ayan Calvard, 30, have been identified as the victims of a tragic two-vehicle crash in Port Arthur.

The incident occurred on July 14th, 2023, at around 12:38 a.m., at the intersection of Texas 73 and West Port Arthur.

According to police reports, a Dodge Charger, with Coca and Calvard inside, was stopped at a red light heading northbound on Texas 73 when it was rear-ended by a tanker truck.

Sadly, both Coca and Calvard lost their lives in the crash, while the driver of the tanker truck escaped with no major injuries.

Investigators are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.
