Portage, MI (September 13, 2023) – An SUV and a motorcycle collided near Sam’s Club on E. Romence Road Parkway, resulting in two hospitalizations on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. east of S Westnedge Avenue.

The eastbound black Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a gray Nissan SUV exiting the Sam’s Club parking lot.

The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old from Kalamazoo, sustained severe injuries.

Meanwhile, the SUV’s driver, a 76-year-old Kalamazoo woman, had non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
