Prince Edward County, VA – Victim Loses Life in Fatal Crash on Route 460 near Route 307

Prince Edward County, VA (July 5, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Prince Edward County.

Just after 2:00 p.m. on July 2, authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash on Route 460.

According to statements provided by the Virginia State Police, a vehicle was traveling on Route 460 during the early afternoon hours. As the vehicle slowed down to turn onto Route 307 S., the vehicle was struck by a second vehicle, which was traveling westbound.

One person involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased following this accident. A second victim suffered undisclosed injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
