Putnam County, FL – Fatal Collision Involving ATV and Truck on CR 309

Putnam County, FL (November 20, 2023) – A tragic accident claimed two lives late Saturday night, November 18, in Putnam County. The crash involved a pickup truck and an ATV on County Road 309 near Browns Fish Camp Rd.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that both vehicles were heading southbound when the truck attempted to turn onto Browns Fish Camp Rd but missed. The ATV, following closely, couldn’t slow down in time, resulting in a collision with the truck’s rear.

This impact ejected both the ATV’s driver and passenger, who were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
