Local Accident Reports

Putnam County, TN (September 13, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, September 12, 2023, there were several accidents in the county.

Following a crash on the Gainesboro Grade at around 11:05 a.m., two individuals were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A third person was taken to Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

In total, three people sustained injuries from the accident.

Various agencies, including three EMS units, Putnam County 911, the Putnam County Rescue Squad, Cookeville Fire Department, Putnam County Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, responded to the two-car collision.

The investigation is still ongoing.
