Queens, NY (May 21, 2023) – A young girl was seriously hurt when she fell out of a party bus in Queens on Wednesday night, May 17. According to reports from officials, the accident happened at around 9:00 p.m.
The girl reportedly fell out of the emergency door that opened while the vehicle was traveling on the Cross Island Parkway near Hempstead Avenue, police said.
The NYPD reports the bus driver initially did not realize what had happened, however, he eventually stopped and returned to the scene.
By the time the bus driver went back to the scene, it was occupied by emergency personnel. It remains unclear how many people were on the bus at the time of the incident. The girl is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
