Queens, NY (February 19, 2023) – At around 6:25 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Queens. The wreck was reported to local officials at approximately 6:25 p.m.
Sources say the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of the Jackie Robinson Parkway after Metropolitan Avenue. Traffic was stopped back to Interstate 678 as a result of the incident.
Police working the scene told drivers commuting in the area to use alternate routes. Crews are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
Traffic delays occurred in the area for some time on the evening of February 19.
