Queens, NY (February 24, 2023) – A pedestrian who was walking in the Hillcrest neighborhood of Queens was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle for undetermined reasons. Authorities say that the collision happened and Friday morning, February 24th at about 7:17 a.m.
According to law enforcement, an unidentified person who was traveling on foot entered the intersection of Grand Central Parkway and 164th Street when they were hit by a car. No details were reported on the driver of the vehicle, but emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist the victim a short time later.
Paramedics worked at the scene to assist the injured party before transporting the victim to a local Medical Center for additional treatment. At this time, officials have not confirmed the seriousness of the injuries sustained.
Investigators are conducting a thorough inquiry into the circumstances that led to the collision. There is presently no further information available.
