Queens, NY (March 18, 2023) – On the night of March 18, first responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Queens. Sources report the incident happened at around 10:20 p.m. on the Long Island Expressway.
Officials say the accident took place on the Long Island Expressway near Oceania Street for reasons still being investigated. Various emergency crews were seen helping at the crash scene shortly after the collision occurred.
Paramedics helped injured parties before taking them to area hospitals. Traffic was stopped back to Springfield Boulevard while responders worked in the area.
At this time, the extent of the injuries suffered in the crash has not been reported.
