Residential Fires in New York
All across the state of New York, authorities have confirmed that fatalities triggered by residential fires rose by around 50% from 2016 to 2017. Recently released data shows that at least 73 civilian deaths were the direct results of the many residential fires in New York that broke out during the above mentioned time span. After such a harrowing and overwhelming incident, it is essential for victims or bereaved loved ones to fully understand their rights and how to protect themselves as they attempt to move forward.
In many instances, catastrophic fires are caused by no fault of the victims but by such issues as faulty wiring, gas leaks, or the criminal actions of another party. When a person or other entity is responsible for a fire and subsequent injuries, it is important to know that there is no reason why victims and their family members should be burdened by the expenses associated with recovery. The loss of wages, cost of hospitalization, ongoing medical care, and more all quickly add up, and there is no substitute for aggressive representation that will go after the responsible party and fight for the compensation you deserve.
