Queens, NY (December 11, 2022) – Shortly before 11:00 a.m., on December 10, a serious car accident happened in Queens. Sources say the collision occurred in the westbound lanes of the Belt Parkway. 

Reports indicate the collision took place on the Belt Parkway between Cross Bay Boulevard and Erskine Street. Traffic was stopped back to the Van Wyck Expressway while emergency crews were present in the area. 

Police and paramedics were seen assisting injured victims in the area. At least one person was treated for injuries at the scene. Emergency crews transported those in need of extensive medical care to local hospitals. 

The total number of injured victims has not been reported at this time. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident. 

Traffic was delayed near the crash scene while emergency crews were present on the road. Police asked local drivers to use different routes while the scene was active with responders.
