Intersection Accidents in New York

Queens, NY - Man in Life-Threatening Condition After Crash at 219th St and Carson St

A huge percentage of New York motor vehicle accidents take place at intersections. This is mainly due to a dangerous combination of distracted drivers and the faults inherent in intersection design.

Intersections are locations where two or more roadways cross one another. Some intersections connect streets with higher speed limits with streets sporting slow-moving traffic. Other intersections have not been outfitted with any traffic signals or signage.

Data assessed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that almost 40% of all New York car accidents happen at intersections. A skilled New York car accident attorney can help you determine if you have a reasonable claim after being injured in an intersection accident.

Being injured in a motor vehicle accident can be an extremely disruptive, frightening, confusing, and overwhelming time in a person’s life. After being hurt in a car crash that was not your fault, the last things you need to be concerned with are the financial obligations and other stressors that only make physical recovery more challenging.
