Queens, NY (January 2, 2023) – Authorities say that a man is in critical condition after he was struck by two motor vehicles in the Laurelton neighborhood of Queens. It happened Sunday evening, January 1st, at around 7:00 p.m.
Reports show that a 65-year-old man was walking across the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and 223rd Street when he was hit by two vehicles, one right after the other. Neither driver stayed at the scene to assist the victim, but emergency responders arrived a short time later.
The severely injured pedestrian was transported to Jamaica Hospital. He is listed in critical condition at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
