Queens, NY (March 24, 2023) – Authorities say that on Friday morning, March 24th, a motor vehicle accident in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park section of Queens left at least one person injured. It happened at about 10:17 a.m. on the Van Wyck Expressway.
Reports show that two or more vehicles entered the area near Northern Boulevard at the same time, subsequently colliding with one another and damaging property at the scene. First responders, including firefighters, police, and EMTs, arrived in the area to provide assistance and assess the nature of the crash.
EMS units who responded to the scene provided medical treatment and transferred those in need of additional treatment to nearby medical facilities via ambulance. Officials have not verified any details on the conditions of those involved.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to establish the events that caused the crash. Further information will be provided at a later time.
